We were lucky with the weather. Even though it was threatening, the
rain held off (for the most part) until Sunday night. Then, during about 4
1/2 hours the Preserve got 4 1/2 inches of rain, completely flooding the
Community Garden and the new Girl Scouts' Pavilion being constructed at Blue
Heron Nature Preserve.
Fortunately, the bee hives were on high ground for this flood and are safe.
