North Buckhead's first park is coming. On December 6 the City Council approved their portion of the funding for a public park a the corner of Phipps Blvd and Wieuca Roads. The NBCA negotiated for the park with Ashwood Properties the developer of the 51-townhome development currently under construction near Conifer Circle. Ashwood Properties agreed to sell the property at below market value and to be responsible for initial landscaping and ongoing maintenance. ers, Buckhead Business Coalition, the Simon Group (Phipps Plaza & Lenox Square) as well as by the North Buckhead Civic Association to provide the matching private funds required by the city. Special thanks to Lee Morris for sponsoring the legislation, securing private donations, and ensuring City Council's support. Plans are currently being drawn up by Ashwood Development and will include North Buckhead's first neighborhood marker which will welcome residents and visitors to our neighborhood.
