Neighborhood Speeding

If you don't like waiting for 30+ cars to whiz by before you can safely turn onto Wieuca in the morning or the evening, you are not alone.

Some of us in North Buckhead have started doing something about it which requires considerable bravery -- we are obeying the speed limits in our own neighborhood.  It is our attempt to take our streets back from speeders.

Based on the rude reactions we've often gotten, we know that some people are quite offended by having to obey the law, even temporarily.

People are cutting through North Buckhead at 10 to 20 MPH, and more, above the speed limits.  Wieuca Road, Old Ivy, Lakemoore and Roswell Road are among the worst.  And, yes, some of these speeders are our neighbors.

Please do your part.  If you slow down, those cars behind you also have to slow down too.
