Get out your address books because there have been many changes since our last newsletter. In fact, there were so many houses for sale on N. Ivy this summer that someone stopped me on the street and asked me "Is there anything wrong with this neighborhood?" Nothing could be further from the truth! Almost all of those houses now have new owners.
It was just a coincidence that several neighbors had reasons to move at the same time. John King, whose house on N. Ivy had been in his family for almost fifty years, has moved to Lake Rabin. Mark Rossi is the happy new owner at 3992 N. Ivy and has made many improvements there.
Robin and Peter Allison and their two sons have moved to Toronto, Canada. The new residents at their house on N. Ivy are Bryan and Laurine Nazworth from San Antonio, Texas. They have two daughters, Caroline, six, and Victoria, who is three.
Kay and Rich Flierl and their children Kalyn and Ben love N. Ivy so much that they are just moving down the street. The new owners at 4001 N. Ivy are Clancey and Richard Mendoza and their daughter, Wendy. The Flierls have bought Karin Verdon's house at 4094 N. Ivy. Karen and her two Siberian Huskies are moving to Denver, Colorado. Susan and Zoe Duncan plan to move to England in the fall.
One of our oldest residents, Lucy Holland, who moved onto N. Ivy as a new bride in 1939 has moved! Lucy is doing very well in a retirement home in Lenox Park.
Other neighbors who didn't move far are Melissa and Jonathan Davis and their son, Johnathon, who moved from Glengary Drive to a new house on Peachtree Gardens on Mountain Drive. David and Elizabeth Miraldi and their two children have moved into the Davis' former home. Thad and Mary Beth Ellis and their three children have also moved from Glengary and are building in Peachtree Gardens.
New owners of their house are Whitney and Andrew Feinberg and their son Ryan.

The Davis' new neighbors at 708 Mountain Drive are Lori and Chris Hamilton. They have two sons, Mitchell, six and Andrew, four. They moved from San Antonio where they were friends of the Nazworths. Neighbors on Glengary Court hated to see Beth and Brice O'Brien and their two sons move back to Winston-Salem after only a few months in Atlanta. Neighobrs are happy to have Cal and Sara Smith and their son, Will, to Glengary Court.
Staying in the neighborhood was very important to Lisa and Michael Mallady who moved from Arden Way to a beautiful new house on Stovall Terrace. The new residents at 22 Arden Way are Bill and Brigette Peck. Soon Jim and Anna Ruth Flagg and their son will be moving next door to the Pecks.
Neighbors on North Stratford hated to see Carol and Bob Crumbie move after nearly thirty years. Their next-door neighbors, Barb Bihr and Tim Burroughs gave them a lovely going away party before they moved to Ashville.
The new owners of 3929 N. Stratford are Mary and Dan Schaefer and their children Josh and Amanda. Across the street from them at the corner of N. Stratford and Stovall Boulevard are Liz Cotham and Matt Turman. New neighbors on Carmain are Susan and Chad Richardson, who have two Border Collies.
Chris and Daniela Patteson of N. Ivy have a new baby boy, Noah. Noah's older brother is Josh. Lisa and Jim Braun of Wieuca Terrace have a new baby, James Darden. Their new next-door neighbors are Spencer and Jenny Lisenby, who have a new baby daughter, Alexa.
New residents at 799 Loridans Circle include Wilbur and Ann Ellis and their children Anna five, and Peter, three. Paul and Colleen Wendland moved into 835 Loridans Circle with their children Christian, six and Hanna, five years old.
It might still feel might warm, but fall seems officially here with the yellow school busses now buzzing around. Call Natalie Spalding at 404-231-0646 with any newsworthy items!
