NBCA doesn't oppose developments simply because the majority of the neighbors affected don't like them. To win, we must have a good reason to successfully oppose a development. So our positions are always based in the law, at least the best reading of the law we can afford.
Our legal fund is currently about $2,500 overspent -- we need your help to restore it. Please use the enclosed envelope to mail your contribution to NBCA. These contributions are not currently tax deductible -- if you are a tax professional and would like to help your neighborhood establish a tax exempt legal fund, we especially need your help.

In July, NBCA's Board voted to appoint Rick Blumen to our Board to fill the unexpired term of Jay Lask, who resigned earlier this year.
Rick, his wife Liz and son Daniel recently moved to Ivy Road. Rick, like Liz, is an attorney and he plans to help us with legal issues. Rick, a partner at Alston & Bird LLP, got a J.D. degree from The George Washington University National Law Center. We enthusiastically welcome his help.

Lee Morris, 7th District City Councilmember for the past eight years, has announced that he will follow his commitment not to serve more than two terms, and will not run again. NBCA gave Lee an award for Outstanding Contributions to Atlanta, recognizing his service.
Howard Shook, president of the nearby Ridgedale Park neighborhood association, is the only announced candidate for the 7th District seat.
