On October 15, North Buckhead joined with Garden Hills in sponsoring a candidates forum for the three candidates for the 7th District City Council seat.
The candidates, Katy Bryant, Drew Evangelista and Howard Shook all provided good answers to the questions.
The questions, which were asked of all candidates, were prepared jointly by NBCA and GHCA.
The moderator was Loretta Lepore, a CNN correspondent who lives in Garden Hills.
Thanks to all who came and thanks to all who helped.

In October a group of parents with children at Sarah Smith Elementary School met to discuss "staying together" and continuing their support of public education as their children graduate to Sutton Middle School.
You may not know all the names of these parents but you would surely recognize them from the many, many times they are at Sarah Smith School coordinating special events, volunteering for projects and offering suggestions for improvements.
These "Sutton Supporters" invited Syd Janney and Debbie Miller to share their experiences at this meeting. Janney and Miller were among the first group of parents at Morningside Elementary to stay together and transfer their tremendous energy from Morningside to Inman Middle School and Grady High in order to support the teachers and administrators at those schools.
Their message was that parents can rally together and create a positive and lasting impact on public schools at every level.
Mark MyGrant, Principal at Sutton enthusiastically welcomes involved parents to commit their ideas, time and talents at Sutton.
More than two dozen very creative ideas were generated for this project and they are looking for more parents to get involved. If you would like to be involved with or know more about the "Sutton Supporters" please contact Kim McCauley at 404-531-0006.
