The following candidates are standing for election to the NBCA Board. The election will be held at our Annual Meeting on February 21. Each member household at the meeting is eligible to cast a vote. (Proxies are permitted.) Candidates receiving a majority approval of votes cast will become NBCA Board Members. Additional candidates may be nominated from the floor during the Annual Meeting.
Rick Blumen (Incumbent) In July, NBCA's Board voted to appoint Rick Blumen to our Board to fill the unexpired term of Jay Lask, who resigned earlier in 2001.
Rick, his wife Liz and son Daniel recently moved to Ivy Road. Rick, like Liz, is an attorney and he helps us with legal issues. Rick, a partner at Alston & Bird LLP, got a J.D. degree from The George Washington University National Law Center.
David Dollar, CPA (Incumbent) David is a ten-year resident of North Buckhead and a native of the Atlanta area. He lives on Glengary Drive with his wife Dari and their three year-old daughter - Sydney. They are expecting the arrival of Sydney's new little brother in April. David is a CPA and Financial Planner, with his own firm Chastain Financial Planning. He is a graduate of Auburn University, where he earned a degree in Economics.
David has served on the NBCA board for the past two years. Prior to that, he was on the NBCA zoning committee for several years. David's wife Dari is a former NBCA board member, and served as Treasurer of the NBCA for several years. David's efforts as a board mem

ber have centered on the annual Christmas Tree Sale, which he has headed up for the past three years.
In addition to serving on the NBCA Board, David is on the board of the Atlanta Auburn Club, a member of the Georgia Society of CPA's Personal Financial Planning Committee, and a member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church.
Patti Grayson Patti moved to Atlanta and attended Dunwoody High School. She earned a Bachelors of Education in Early Childhood Education from UGA. She taught gifted students at various schools in grades K-12 in the DeKalb County School System for eleven years. While teaching, she earned a Masters Degree in Administration and a Specialist Degree in Administration.
In April of 1999 she married Randy Grayson. In May of the same year, Randy and Patti moved to Land O' Lakes Drive. They had a daughter on August 1 of this year, named Caroline Dyanne Grayson.
Randy and Patti decided that she would change careers for a few years and become a stay-at-home mom. While she enjoys taking care of Caroline, she needs something more to challenge her intellect. When she received September's NBCA newsletter and saw that the Beautification Committee needed a chairperson, she decided to volunteer to for the position. She's enthusiastic and willing to learn.
