Our Land Use/Zoning Committee has regrouped following the resignation of previous members Kay Beynart, Andrew Bleke, Harold Cunliffe and Keith Henry. We thank them for their service to the community.
Last year's chair, Lamar Miller, will continue on the committee but has relinquished the chair. After our first session, held to organize the group, Lamar remarked that there was 'a whole set of fresh and committed faces'. The familiar faces who, besides Mrs. Miller, have graciously agreed to serve again are Tom Hicks, Jay Lask, Chris Patterson, and Robert Young. Incoming are David Doll, Jim Knight, Willie Whipple and Waldtraut (Walda) Lavroff.
Chris Patterson has agreed to serve as vice-chair; Walda Lavroff will serve as chair. The committee will continue its current structure of three subcommittees: Variances and Special Exceptions, Re-Zonings, and Subdivisions.
We are looking forward to working with residents who need our services, and we intend to make it a lively and productive year.
