The following is a summary of the financial activities of the North Buckhead Civic Association for the year. In 2001 the Civic Association operated with gross income of $32,888.07 and gross expenses of $33,760.13 leaving a net expenditure of $872.06. At the end of year we had $23,424.39 on deposit.
On the income side $12,275 was collected in membership dues, $5,310 was contributed to the Legal Fund, and the Christmas Tree sale generated a net income of $3,812.
On the expense side Legal expenses amounted to $11,109, mainly for our winning efforts to defend against high-density development encroaching on our neighborhood in the TAP vs. COA Georgia Supreme Court case and on the 2nd Kusmiersky Condo Tower issue.
In addition, a net amount of $4,208 was spent for the quarterly newsletter, $1,776 for the NBCA street sign markers, and $2,550 for the Spring Fling and Annual Meeting expenses.
Thanks to all who contributed this past year to help fund our efforts to promote, enhance and defend our neighborhood.
