Annual Meeting: Big Success

Tunnel Impact Reduced?

In February in our 30th annual meeting, over 200 neighbors met in the Wieuca Road Baptist Church to hear Mayor Shirley Franklin and City Council President Cathy Woolard outline their visions of their upcoming terms and hear them answer neighbor's questions.  Most who          attended the session felt our speakers were open, relevant and candid.

In addition to food and drinks served in the   social, early attendees also got to mingle with city and state officials, including State Senator Rusty Paul, State Representative Cathy Ashe, Councilmembers Mary Norwood, Howard Shook, Police Zone 2 Commander Major Frank Spillane and many others.

NBCA Treasurer Kevin McCauley was awarded an "Outstanding Citizen of North Buckhead" commendation for his many contributions.     Volunteers from Southeast Waters/Americorps were also recognized for their volunteer        efforts at the Blue Heron Nature Preserve.
