SEPTEMBER 2002

Membership Foul-up

Web Site Sponsor

We recently created a new business membership category, with modest $35/year dues.  We already have three new members and expect many more.  (Our business members are listed at the bottom of page 7.)

Our household dues are still just $25.      Unfortunately, our volunteers accidentally mailed $35 business membership return-mail envelopes to about 100 of our regular members who needed to renew.  Some were savvy and just paid $25.  Many simply did what the envelope asked and paid $35.

We began contacting over-payers individually -- too much work.  So we started crediting those who paid $35 with 17 months of membership, rather than 12.  If you would like another adjustment, please contact us.

Tom Hicks, member of NBCA's Land Use and Zoning Committee, has volunteered to    sponsor NBCA's web site for the current year.

Web site sponsorship is awarded to the highest bidder.  The bidding ground rules were published in our newsletter.

We will be working with Tom to set up a banner at the top of NBCA's home page and will set up a page on our site about his business, linking to his own web site.

Tom owns a local real estate firm, Ivy       Realty.  See his ad below.

Thanks Tom.
