The city is moving ahead with the stream bank restoration on the Veteran's Hospital Trunk Sewer line.

The neighbors lobbied hard for a positive environmental solution to the restoration of this site and the city has been favorably responsive. The natural stream bank work should begin soon along the creek with the assistance of Southeast Waters and AmeriCorps. They will employ new techniques demonstrated at Blue Heron Preserve using biodegradable fabric, logs, willow stakes and native plantings.

The overall sewer replacement project is nearing completion and will probably be    totally complete by the time you read this newsletter.
