Report from the NBCA Land Use/Zoning Committee

Despite much construction activity in our NBCA area, there were few  applications processed by the Zoning Committee.  It appears that         construction remained within City Code requirements.

Several residents called on us for information and advice before applying for building permits.

We were able to assist them, and we are glad to do that.

Our next meeting will be on Feb 17, 2003 at 7 PM in Room 106, St. James United Methodist Church (4400 Peachtree-Dunwoody Rd.).  You are always  welcome to attend.

Walda Lavroff: NPU-B Chair

Our last log house

NBCA board member, Chair of NBCA's Land Use and Zoning Committee and North Buckhead neighborhood representative to Neighborhood Planning Unit-B (NPU-B), Walda Lavroff, PhD, can add another prestigious title to her name: Chair of NPU-B.   Walda was elected to this new position in January.  Good work, Walda!

Nestled in the trees along the west side of   Arden Way stands North Buckhead's last log house.  Owner Stokes Hill says it was the     Governor's hunting lodge.  Look on our web site at www.nbca.org/loghouse.htm to see pictures that Stokes sent us.

Businesses join NBCA

For years, NBCA members have been home  owners.  Recently, we started asking local    businesses to join, at $35/year.  The following are our current business members:

Batteries Plus, North Buckhead 4418 Roswell Rd

Presstine Cleaners  4455 Roswell Rd

The Cat Doctor, Inc.  4716 Roswell Rd
