Spring Fling report

Businesses join NBCA

May 18 was a soggy day.  NBCA's Spring Fling started with essentially no attendees.  As the rain lifted neighbors gradually appeared until we had a          surprisingly good turnout.  We would like to thank our local Publix store and the Wing Factory for their   important contributions to our party.  We would also like to thank Chris and Kitsie Riggall for offering their front yard to host the inflatable slide and bouncing room -- we are sorry that their grass lawn was totally destroyed.

For years, NBCA members have been homeowners.  Recently, we started asking local businesses to join, at $35/year.  The following are our current business members:

Presstine Cleaners    4455 Roswell Rd
Tuxedo Pharmacy     4411 Roswell Rd
William Word Antiques    707 Miami Circle

Area businesses, please join us!  Can you think of   another way to get visibility to your business for so little money?  Send your $35 check to:  NBCA, P.O. Box 420391, Atlanta, GA 30342. (Coupon, page 14.)

NBCA Christmas tree sale

NBCA web site sponsor

Remember, when planning your holidays, NBCA sells fine Christmas trees and wreaths at Sarah Smith School each year.  This year's sale will be held on  December 6 and 7.

We would like to thank The Hinsons for sponsoring our web site in 2003.  Please visit our web site to check out the Hinson's changing banner.  (Watch it for ten seconds or so and suddenly it changes.)

Charitable gifts needed

Southeast Waters/AmeriCorps, non-profits, have been working steadily in our neighborhood on our streams and at Blue Heron Preserve for 2 years.  Their work is supported with grant monies but they work above and beyond what they are minimally paid.  They desperately need a used pickup truck and lawnmower.  If you could make a charitable contribution of either one of these it would be hugely appreciated. Please call Nancy Jones 404-252-8807.

Magazine Recycling

The magazine recycling bin formerly located at   Tuxedo Center School on Northside Drive has been moved to Margaret Mitchell Elementary School, 2845 Margaret Mitchell Drive. The bin is in the  parking lot.
