At a recent community gathering in Peachtree Hills, I had the pleasure of meeting their civic association president and members of their board. I was astounded to learn that out of approximately 600 homeowners over 400 are active dues paying members. They are the most supported civic association in the City of Atlanta. What a great distinction for this actively involved community!
In contrast, participation in North Buckhead is much less impressive. Sadly, of 2,700 homeowners we only have 400 active members. I want to challenge each household in North Buckhead to join NBCA and become dues-paying members.
Your dues are important, yes… but your membership also sends a strong message to the City, County and State about our public involvement on so many pertinent issues. Your membership is your pledge of concern about your neighborhood. We all moved here for the high quality of life our community provides -- please help us protect it.
Who should become members of NBCA?

year, NBCA countered attempts to break parts of North Buckhead out of the Sarah Smith district and provided the APS Board with in-depth analyses of likely growth in this area. Information we provided helped APS plan the new kindergarten annex. Now we are asking for your support to continue to provide the informational and purely voluntary services we provide.
EVERY HOMEOWNER who has sought information concerning their property, trash, trees, sewers, creeks, crime, rezoning, land use, etc. NBCA deals with these areas on a daily basis. Please help us with your support.
Let's see if we can't double our participation this year from 400 members to 800. Our ability to accomplish goals for our neighborhood would soar! The more support we have in our community the more your voice is heard at City Hall on issues that affect us all.
