Older Dog Rescued

Outgoing Board Members

Note: We received this note in November from a neighbor who read our email to the neighborhood about overcrowding of local animal shelters and the "AARF" article in our November newsletter:

As always, thanks for the great job you do keeping us informed. As a result of this message, we now have a wonderful new addition to our family. This week we adopted a seven-year-old, shelter-rescued Shih Tzu named Smokey. He is such a sweet, loving, well behaved dog.

I wish more people realized what good pets adult dogs and cats make. Everyone seems to want a puppy or kitten, which I can testify is a lot of responsibility. If you send any further communications about pet adoption, please encourage people to consider adopting adult animals, and also, not to adopt a pet "for a child." Caring for a pet is ultimately an adult's responsibility.

Several of our board members are leaving us after serving on our board.

Rick Blumen, who provided legal advice to our association.

Patti Grayson, who served as Beautification chair.

Suzanne Rubini who served as Secretary and before that as Social co-chair.

We thank Rick, Patti and Suzanne for their service and appreciate the important contributions they have made to the North Buckhead Civic Association.
