Thanks to all of you who have become new NBCA members or have renewed your membership this year.  Our membership is currently just about 475 and we would like to have at least 800 members by the end of 2004.  Since we have over 2,700 households in North Buckhead, we could easily achieve this goal with your help.  800 memberships are just 30%. of our households.

For just $25/year per family or $35/year per business, you will continue to receive your quarterly newsletter and be kept abreast of the latest news and happenings.  But more importantly, you will be contributing to the quality of life in your neighborhood.  Your association works hard to assure that North Buckhead is, and will continue to be, a wonderful place to live.  Yes, we have dedicated volunteers who do the work; but they can't accomplish their goals without much-needed funding and community backing.

"Summer is here…and what is more fun than to curl up with a good book on a long, lazy summer day?  But what to read?  What to take to the beach or enjoy on the plane, porch, or deck?  What are your favorites, and why?"

This question went out to about 900 North Buckhead e-mail addresses…and the results were gratifying.  Clearly, people in our community read more than just the newsletter.  Here are some of their favorite books and some of their comments about them.
