North Buckhead Park

The North Buckhead Park at the intersection of Wieuca Road and Phipps Boulevard is looking beautiful!  All of the planning and hard work over the last two years has really paid off.

Our latest park clean-up day was April 17th.  Volunteers included Kevin McCauley, Darlene Shultz, Sue Certain, Alice and Peter Rogers, Daniel Alam, Alex Young, and Rita and Jerry Christopher.  They enjoyed the sunny spring day while weeding, planting zinnias to replace the pansies, and spreading fresh pine straw.  Preparations were also made for the two park benches which have now been installed.  They add a lovely touch to the park and welcome visitors.

NBCA has purchased a water meter for the park.  The city has agreed to absorb the on-

going cost of our water use but the meter and its installation totaled around $1,000 --your NBCA membership dues and contributions at work!  We thank our neighbors, the Lepingwells, for generously allowing us the use of their water until now.

Our next workday will be in the fall (date to be announced in the next newsletter).  Your contribution of time or a monetary contribution to the landscaping fund are always greatly appreciated.
