Several of our current NBCA Board members have served our association well but have decided to not run for re-election. They deserve recognition for their contributions. Chris Riggall has officially served as chair of our Social Committee for the past two years. We say "officially", because much of the social committee work has been done by Kitsie Riggall. We say thanks for many well done social events! Chris is Press Secretary for Georgia Secretary of State Cathy Cox, so we'll still be seeing him, if only on TV. Erika Archibald has served in environmental capacities and has written her wonderful "Local Events" column for our newsletter. Erika Archibald, Ph.D., is Communications Director for The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International.
[Incidentally, two years ago, both Chris and Kitsie, and Erika and her husband Robin had been originally interested in running jointly for their respective single board seat. We have revised our Bylaws to make that possible for similar household "teams" to run together in the future.]

Many thanks to Stokes Hill for hosting the Fall Fling at his home on Arden Way. Approximately 150 North Buckhead residents enjoyed touring Stokes' historic cabin, roasting marshmallows and socializing with their neighbors. Also, thanks to Publix for providing water and soft drinks. Finally, thanks Rita and Jerry Christopher, Andrea Waters, Nancy Jones and David Dollar for back-up help. Our spring and fall flings have become very popular events. We are looking for a new social chair to quarterback them. It takes a few days twice a year to pull an event together (less if you can recruit some volunteers). If you are interested in serving as social chair or in hosting the next event on your street, please drop us an e-mail: kriggall@comcast.net.
